Epomaker TH108 V2 Pro: Full-Size Layout, Deep Sound, and Modern Tech

Epomaker TH108 V2 Pro black full-size keyboard

Keeping a numpad doesn’t have to mean giving up an interesting desk setup. The black Epomaker TH108 V2 Pro combines a 104-key full layout with a solid case, 10,000mAh battery, and translucent PC caps. I’ve been looking at how those details work together, and where the compromises lie.

First Impressions and Unboxing

Inside the box is a substantial black keyboard, plus a dust cover, USB-C cable, 2.4GHz receiver, keycap and switch puller, spare switches, and a manual. The essentials are all there.

2.4GHz receiver storage slot on the bottom

A dedicated storage slot underneath keeps the 2.4GHz receiver safe while carrying the board. The flexible cable is also easy to route for wired use.

Solid Build and Premium Features

104-key full layout with numpad

The familiar 104-key layout needs no adjustment from a standard board. It works well for spreadsheet entry and tasks that depend on established shortcuts.

TH108 V2 Pro on a desk

1.5kg dense ABS housing

Despite being ABS plastic, the housing is dense and weighs around 1.5kg. It offers great stability on the desk without being overly heavy or freezing cold like aluminum.

Glass screen and front-facing knob

The top-right glass screen and front-facing knob are the stars of the show. The screen supports custom GIFs, and the knob placement near the front right makes volume control quick and intuitive.

Side light bars on the TH108 V2 Pro

The side light bars provide a subtle, non-intrusive aesthetic enhancement to any desk setup.

5-Layer Acoustic Treatment

Gasket mount with five dampening layers

The gasket mount and five acoustic layers keep the case from sounding hollow. Poron sandwich foam, an IXPE switch pad, PET sound enhancer, EPDM socket foam, and bottom silicone absorb and shape the impact. Together they give the plastic board a much cleaner sound than I’d expect from a basic entry-level case.

Creamy Jade Switch: The Pebble Sound

Epomaker Creamy Jade linear switches

The Creamy Jade switches are a major draw. These factory-lubed 5-pin linear switches have a 45gf operating force and a 50gf bottom-out. They offer a smooth, tactile-free experience that, when combined with the dampening foam, produces a thocky, pebble-like sound. The pitch is not too high and the sound feels full, which makes typing really enjoyable.

Translucent PC Keycaps with Carbon Pattern

Translucent PC keycaps with carbon texture

On the black version, the caps appear to be translucent polycarbonate (PC), rather than the conventional PBT used on the blue-and-white and pink versions. That distinction is worth making because the same model name can hide a different keycap treatment. The carbon pattern is particularly interesting: it is part of the molded surface texture instead of a printed design. Both the look and the feel give these caps a character of their own.

RGB lighting through translucent keycaps

The English legends appear to be silk-screened. When the RGB is on, the light diffuses beautifully through the translucent caps.

Web-Based Software

Visit site →

I’m glad to see a web driver here. With some earlier boards from the brand, uploading a personal GIF to the screen meant installing a dedicated application, which I found inconvenient. Doing the configuration in a browser removes that extra step. The screen itself is fairly narrow, but as a small decorative feature in the desk setup it works well.

Epomaker web driver interface

The interface is functional rather than polished, and macros and GIF frame settings take some learning. It is well equipped, though, including SOCD and MT options for users who want them.

Battery Life and Performance

The 10,000mAh battery has been a highlight. With RGB off, I’ve gone almost a month between charges.

Playing DJMAX with the TH108 V2 Pro

When playing rhythm games such as DJMAX RESPECT V through the 2.4GHz dongle, I didn’t notice much latency. The smooth rebound of the Creamy Jade switches also helped with rapid repeated inputs. For work, having the numpad available was clearly useful in Excel and coding tasks.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Thocky Sound: Creamy Jade switches paired with 5-layer dampening.
  • Unique Keycaps: Translucent PC with a carbon texture.
  • Massive Battery: 10,000mAh for true wireless freedom.
  • Sturdy Full-Size Layout: Professional stability and productivity.

Cons

  • Typing Volume: Might be too loud for a quiet office environment.
  • No Localized Legends: Only English legends are present, which may be a barrier for some.
  • Confusing Naming: It’s a 104-key board, but called TH108.

Final Thoughts

Epomaker TH108 V2 Pro final verdict photo

The black Epomaker TH108 V2 Pro with Creamy Jade switches has a distinct identity among ready-made full-size boards. The translucent caps, molded carbon texture, and side-facing legends give it a substantial presence on the desk. The switches supply the other half of the appeal, making the act of typing enjoyable in its own right. For someone who needs the numpad for work and wants a wireless board with a less familiar visual character, those details make an attractive combination. The sound and layout preferences still matter, but this is more than a standard full-size keyboard with a screen added.
