Before jumping into the recommendations, the first thing I noticed with my fingertips at this pop-up was the solid build quality of Epomaker keyboards. Tapping on the aluminum frame models displayed at the venue, the finishing quality was much better than expected. Because the housing itself has a good weight to it, the annoying hollow pinging sound during typing is remarkably well-controlled. The plastic models also feature smooth surface treatments and sturdy assembly, providing a very solid typing experience that doesn’t wobble even when typing a bit forcefully.

If I had to pick just one from the numerous exhibits, I would definitely recommend this model. In fact, I already own one. Haha. Equipped with magnetic switches, it naturally delivers the fast response speed required for gaming environments. The housing finish quality is great, offering a very clean sound profile without any hollow rattling. The bottom-out typing feel, free from the scratchiness typical of some switches, strikes the fingertips very briskly.

If you want visual entertainment and a unique tactile feel, this is the one. While the LCD screen and volume knob beloved by custom users are great, the true charm lies in the pre-installed silicone keycaps. Every time you press them, they feel chewy and soft, bringing a subtle smile to your face throughout your typing session. Thanks to the squishy keycaps, the chewy sensation that wraps around your fingers with every keystroke is simply superb.

This model most strongly threatened my wallet at the venue. I already own the Luma84 so I know the general feel, but the orthogonal layout of this model, keeping only the essential keys in a minimalist form factor, is truly gorgeous. Despite its solid aluminum body, it feels quite lightweight when lifted, making it a great secondary keyboard that takes up minimal desk space. Even with the lightweight housing, the interior is well-packed, delivering a compact yet dense and solid typing feel.

Beyond fully assembled units, a dedicated accessory zone is fully stocked for styling your own custom keyboard. It is quite rewarding to press Epomaker’s various switches to find the exact operating force that suits your hands and to mix and match pretty keycap sets.

On one side of the pop-up store, a Linsoul audio-exclusive listening zone commands just as much attention as the keyboards. I personally prefer Kiwi Ears and recently Jude earphones due to their great value, so it was fascinating to test and match various Hi-Fi in-ear earphones and DAC/AMP combinations distributed by Linsoul.

Although the exhibits mainly focus on entry-level models like Kiwi Ears Bell, Cadenza 2 earphones, and the Allegro Mini DAC, it seems more than enough to give keyboard enthusiasts a tasty preview. Since audio equipment setup is just as crucial as keyboard typing feel when completing a desk setup, being able to grasp the sound signatures of various earphones while visiting a keyboard shop makes for a very satisfying itinerary.
