There’s nothing like a custom keycap to easily freshen up your desk setup! Today, I’m introducing the 4-piece ‘Identity V’ character keycap set by LOBO. I’m consistently impressed by how incredibly detailed these LOBO keycaps are—they always exceed my expectations. The Seer and Mercenary are perfect for standard black or white keyboards, while the Gardener and Perfumer are a match made in heaven for keyboards with vibrant, colorful housings.

I noticed some dust after taking the photos, but it was too much work to re-shoot, so please excuse me! lol.

The Perfect Minimalist Touch: The Seer

This Identity V Seer keycap brings a clean, white aesthetic to your setup. You can clearly see the intricate gold pattern on the blindfold and the finely braided hair, right? The surface has a smooth, matte finish that feels soft and pleasant to the touch when typing. Even under bright lights, it doesn’t glare and maintains a luxurious look. It fits perfectly and looks neat on the ESC key of a white or silver keyboard.

Chic and Dark: The Mercenary

The Identity V Mercenary keycap carries a subtle weight thanks to its calm, dark gray tone. (It really shows the dust, doesn’t it? Ugh.) The ‘Jack’ lettering on the hat and the signature cross-button eyes of Identity V look spot on. It’s the perfect item for those who love a chic and tidy deskterior. Placing it on a dark-toned keyboard, like black or charcoal, provides a subtle yet distinct accent. I was worried the slightly protruding brim of the hat might interfere with surrounding keys, but after testing it, I found there’s only a very slight sensation of it being there. lol.

Lovely Pastel Vibes: The Gardener

The Identity V Gardener keycap is responsible for the bubbly cuteness in this set. The contrast between the lovely pink ribbon and the blue button eyes makes me smile every time I look at it. With the lace on her hat and her hairstyle, it instantly brightens up a plain keyboard. If you pair it with a yellow or pink housing, your visual satisfaction will definitely double. Just keep in mind that the hat decoration is a bit wide, so you might want to consider where to place it if your keyboard has narrow bezels.

Glamorous Red and Gold: The Perfumer

The Identity V Perfumer keycap commands attention with its intense red and gold accents. Personally, this is my favorite of the series. The alluring lip color, glasses frames, and the flower ornament on her head catch the eye immediately. The finely detailed hair is easily the highest quality among the four keycaps. It would blend perfectly with any keyboard that has burgundy or red color accents. It’s the ideal choice for those who want a unique and glamorous point of interest.

Small Objects for Daily Desk Fun

If you look closely at the Identity V keycap series by LOBO, you might notice some minor flaws, such as injection marks or slight paint smudges. However, considering the price, the character recreation and overall finish are highly satisfying. Mechanical keyboards have evolved from mere typing tools into precious accessories that reflect our personal taste, haven’t they? These accent keycaps are sure to bring a smile to your face every time you catch a glimpse of them while typing.
