DOIO KB01-14 Review: Enter Key PC Power Button

DOIO Enter Key Boot Button KB01-14: Bringing Keyboard Vibes to Your Desk Power

Since I spend most of my time on social media dealing with keyboards, I wanted my PC’s power button to have that keyboard feel too, so I picked one up. I figured it would also make a great accent piece for my all-black desk setup.

I just received it in the mail and unboxed it. Holding it in my hand, it feels surprisingly heavy and solid. The enter-key-shaped keycap features a red base with a white top and a large black “X” logo, instantly catching your eye on the desk.

Looking at the structure, it uses a low-profile switch inside. For a power button, the chewy tactile feedback on your fingertips when you first press it is quite satisfying. The bottom features an acrylic base with wide anti-slip rubber pads, so even if you just toss it casually onto a corner of your desk, it stays put without sliding around. The overall paint finish and color grading are impeccably clean, as expected from a reliable brand.

There is a wireless version, but I went with the wired one because my PCI-e lanes are precious! Haha. The cable length is also generous, so routing it to the PC tower under my desk shouldn’t be a problem. However, since this is just a first impression right out of the box after pressing it a few times, I don’t know much yet about its actual responsiveness as a switch or its durability.

This weekend, I’ll connect the cable directly to the motherboard and use it for a bit before sharing a more detailed review later.
